Subjee Cooler is a green, recurring-cost-free technology with dual benefits of natural ripening and storage. It is based on the patented “Enhanced Evaporative Cooling” principle developed by RuKart. Its innovative 7-layer membrane-based cooling system requires only 3-15 liters of water per day & no utility or solar.
The Subjee Cooler does not need any external power or utility. It needs only 3-14 litres of water/day during storage & no water during ripening process.
The stored produce does not experience thermal stress. Thus, no need to maintain an end-to-end cold chain with Subjee Cooler. Enjoy the farm-level freshness at home.
Subjee Cooler maintains colour, freshness, stiffness/tenacity & taste as good as freshly harvested even after 5-7 storage days.
It is a recurring and utility-free technology. A Subjee Cooler comes with 3 years of warranty & a minimum of 10 years of shelf life.
Subjee Cooler saves 8.3X & 137X more CO2e than an equivalent Solar & Electricity-based Fridge, respectively.
Started with one outlet in Bengaluru, All outlets across Bengaluru & Hyderabad are equipped with Subjee Cooler now.

The Subjee Cooler works on the principle of Enhanced Evaporative Cooling.
No. Subjee Cooler does not need Electricity / Diesel / Solar / Hybrid / Biomass to operate. It needs clean water to operate.
Yes, you can use water from the borewell. Make sure that the water should be clean and free from physical impurities like mud, leaf litters or garbage etc.
No, there is no need to apply chilled / refrigerated water to the Subjee Cooler. The Subjee Cooler is designed in such a way that it should run on normal, regular temperature, clean water. Use of regular temperature water serves the purpose.
Yes, the chilled water / refrigerated water brings more cooling but it needs electricity to have chilled water. We don’t recommend chilled / refrigerated water to operate the Subjee Cooler.
The temperature difference between ambient & within the Subjee Cooler ranges from 10 Degree Celsius to 21 Degree Celsius depending on the season (Monsoon, Winter & Summer). The temperature difference varies from season to season.
The cooling starts within 30 to 55 minutes post water application to the Subjee Cooler.
The Subjee Cooler works on the principle of Enhanced Evaporative Cooling. Here, water & proper ventilation conditions activate the cooling mechanism. Subjee Cooler consists of a 7 - layered membrane material which comes in contact with water & cooling starts.
The warranty on the Subjee Cooler is for 3 years (terms and conditions apply). In the first year, 2 services are free from RuKart.
The backside of the Subjee Cooler has a drainage point to which 0.5 inches connector is attached for removal of water. The water is drained out automatically through gravitational force. One can place a vessel under drain point to collect the water or you can attach a hose pipe to remove the water.
There is no need to apply water to the Subjee Cooler when you are not storing any produce.
No. As long as the Subjee Cooler is installed under a shed / roof & protected from the direct sunlight, the water in the Subjee Cooler will not heat in summer season due to outside high temperatures.
The drain water will start after 15 to 30 minutes of water application. It will continue till next 10 to 12 hours. Initially, flow of the drain water will be high & as time passes the flow will be reduced. The system is designed in such a way that the utilised & excess water & is drained out from the Subjee Cooler.
Yes. You can store raw milk in the Subjee Cooler for 6 to 8 hours only.
No. You cannot store eggs, meat & fish in the Subjee Cooler.
No. You cannot store tamarind in the Subjee Cooler.
All types of fruits can be ripened in the Subjee Cooler. The mature fruit on the tree itself ripens there.
Yes. You can store bottled water in the Subjee Cooler.
No. You cannot store Ice-creams, Cold drinks etc. in the Subjee Cooler.
Yes. The crates supplied with the Subjee Cooler are optimised to store F&V in it. These crates are ventilated from all the 5 sides & top has a marking upto which you can fill in the produce.
No. You shouldn’t store F&V directly on the floor.
The shelf life of a Subjee Cooler is a minimum of 10 Years.
